Technology-Generation Audit
Submit your clinic for an independent technology audit and receive a verified Generation Score for your facility.
Our Audit Methodology
The Miami Aesthetic Index Technology Audit Bureau conducts independent assessments of aesthetic clinic device inventories using a five-factor weighted scoring model. Each clinic receives a Generation Score from 1 to 3.
FDA Clearance Date (25%)
Devices cleared by the FDA after 2020 receive maximum points. Clearances between 2015-2020 receive partial credit. Pre-2015 clearances receive baseline points.
Clinical Efficacy Data (25%)
We review published peer-reviewed clinical data supporting the device's efficacy claims. Devices with robust RCT data score highest.
Device Generation (20%)
The manufacturer's official product generation designation is verified against the clinic's purchase documentation and serial number records.
Maintenance Protocol (15%)
Clinics must provide documented maintenance logs, calibration certificates, and service records for all audited devices.
Staff Certification (15%)
All device operators must hold current manufacturer-issued certifications. Training records are reviewed and verified.

Clinics are notified via email at each stage of the review process. Expedited 5-business-day audits are available for verified Gen 3 applicants through our concierge channel.
What documents are required for a Technology-Generation Audit?
Required documentation includes: FDA 510(k) clearance certificates or De Novo authorization letters for all primary energy-based devices, manufacturer purchase invoices or lease agreements confirming device model and generation, device maintenance logs covering the past 12 months, calibration certificates from the most recent service visit, and current manufacturer-issued operator certification documents for all device operators.
